It gives me immense pleasure to address the people of Jharkhand through this forum. Jharkhand is an Eco-friendly State and in the near future will surely lead the nation. We are in the 21st century and to lead the nation, enhancement, upliftment and equality to women should be ensured at every possible sphere in society.

Indian society bestows great sanctity to women, but in actual practice, it is violated in such a gruesome manner making a mockery of the very word,“civilization”. Physical, Sexual and Psychological violence regularly occ

ur in our communities. These include human trafficking, rape, sexual harassment, domestic violence, forced prostitution and intimidation at work, in various organizations. These are just a few of the horrendous crimes that occur on a daily basis not only in India but also in every part of the world. “Too many women, in too many countries, speak the same language of silence!”.

This silence needs to be broken. Faith and confidence needs to be restored. Their voice needs to be heard. We have to be optimistic, positive, focus our energy and provide all resources available to create awareness amongst the women and children about their rights. Every support to the suffering women is to be given in order to generate jobs; Help Lines made available to them and eradicate these issues from the dredges of the society. Our concern is to strengthen these vulnerable women & children and give them the space to take their rightful place in this world.
