IGNOU launches course Back     
 
     Ranchi : Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), under its constituent School of Law is launching a Six Months Certificate Course on Human Trafficking from the next academic year. At the first phase, the course is to begin at 5 states of India viz: Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhatisgarh, Bihar and New Delhi and will be extended to other Regional Centers later on. Application Form and Prospectus will be available at all the above mentioned Regional Centers of IGNOU from the before the beginning of the next academic year and it will also be available in the universityís website. The course fee for this programme will be Rs.200/- and Graduation or people having experience of five years in this field will be the eligibility criteria to obtain this course. According to a recent data, Indiaís share in Global Human Trafficking is around 4.7 percent and Jharkhand and Orissa are the most victimized State as far the evil of human trafficking is concerned. Unless students and citizen know about the root cause of this evil it canít be diminished from the society. Thus to provide a complete Know-house of this social evil IGNOU has decided to start this programme as a part of educational curriculum.
